  • What is a food tour?
    A food tour is a delightful culinary and historical experience where you will sample fresh cuisine from 5 different local restaurants while strolling the historic streets of Newport
  • Where does the tour begin?
    The tour begins in front of the wave statue/sculpture at the intersection of America's Cup and Memorial Boulevard. Parking is available on the street and at two adjacent parking lots. We begin promptly at 11:30 AM. Please do your best to be on time as we will be under a tight schedule.
  • How often do your tours run?
    The tour runs rain or shine May 3- October 14 on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Tours begin at 11:30am and noon and last 2.5-3 hours.
  • Do I have to purchase tickets in advance?
    Tickets must be purchased in advance and can be purchased from our website "Purchase Tickets".
  • How much food is served on the tour?
    After visiting the restaurants, most participants will be more than satisfied.
  • How much walking is involved?
    The summer tour will encompass 1.75 miles and last approximately 3 hours. The winter stroll is approximately .75 miles and will also last 3 hours.
  • Does the tour guide accept gratuity?
    Gratuities are greatly appreciated.
  • What if I have dietary restrictions or food allergies?
    We will try to accommodate allergies if notified 24 hours in advance of the tour.
  • Are children allowed on the tour?
    For the summer Newport Foodie's Stroll, children 2 years old and older will be required to purchase tickets, however, our tour is recommended for children 8 years and older. All guests on our Winter Foodies Stroll must be 21 years of age.
  • Are beverages included with the tour?
    Water will be available at all stops and some restaurants will have beverages which can be purchased. Our last stop at Obrien's includes an alcholic beverage of your choice or a non-alcholic beverage can be substituted. On our Winter Foodie's Stroll, each meal is accompanied by a wine pairing of the chef's choosing.
  • What if there is bad weather?
    Our tours run rain or shine.
  • When is the best time to take the tour?
    The best time to schedule your tour is at the beginning of your visit to Newport.
  • Would locals enjoy this tour?
    Absolutely! There's always something new and exciting to find out about your city.
  • Is the tour handicap accessible?
    The tour passes through older parts of Newport with cobblestone streets and uneven pavement. We regret that we cannot accommodate wheelchairs at this time.
